Leadership Announcements in Clear Creek ISD

Leadership ChangesThe Clear Creek ISD Board of Trustees has approved new leadership within various departments.

Dr. Robert Bayard was recently named as the deputy superintendent of curriculum and instruction for Clear Creek ISD. He has taken over this role from Dr. Steven Ebell, who announced his retirement after 13 years in the District. Dr. Bayard previously served as the chief technology officer, former executive director of assessment and accountability, and dean of instruction at Clear Springs High School in 2007.

Kirby Killingsworth, current athletic coordinator for Clear Lake High School, was named as the new director of athletics. She has also been the girls’ head basketball coach for the past 11 years. Former athletic director, Debbie Fuchs, retired this month after serving 33 years in CCISD.

Associate principal Sheridan Henley from Clear Brook High School was named as the executive director of assessment and evaluation. She has 21 years of experience in education.

Dr. Laura Mackay was approved for the new position of curriculum coordinator for robotics, coding and computational thinking. Dr. Mackay currently serves as the E-STEM liaison and instructional coach at Hall Elementary. She was instrumental with the formation of the E-STEM Program in 2014 at Ed White Elementary and previously served as the coordinator for the Gifted and Talented Program in CCISD.

Mary Goldner, music teacher at Stewart Elementary, will take over as the assistant director of visual and performing arts.

Ashley Tyner, resource and inclusion teacher from Ross Elementary, was approved as an elementary assistant principal for the new school year. Her placement will be determined at a later date.
