Parent Resource Center

Welcome to the Special Services Parent Resource Center. We are beginning our third year of service.

We are located in the Learner Support Center (LSC) at 2903 Falcon Pass (the former CLHS 9th grade center).  Please park in the visitor parking on the far right side of the building, nearest CLHS and enter through the front doors on Falcon Pass.

Our center hours will be 9am-4pm daily . Please call or email for appointments. 1:1 support is available almost daily. My contact information is located below. Please refrain from visiting the parent center if you have been exposed to someone with the Covid 19 virus within 14 days and/or are feeling ill. We can conduct virtual meetings to assist  you.

You must be a parent or legal guardian of a currently enrolled CCISD student in order to access the materials provided by the Parent Resource Center.

Along with workshops, or presentations by community providers, the PRC also offers the following items:

IEP Process

The ARD Process

504 Program

Assistive Technology Workshops (District Programs)

STAAR explanations/options/tutorials

Curriculum support items

Hands on make and take classes for parent of students using N2Y curriculum

Educator resource library

18+ option workshops

Community provider workshops

Parent resource connections

SpEd 101 workshops for new parents to CCISD Special Education Programs

Visual schedules and home icon workshops

And, any other program the Executive Director of Special Services deems necessary for the mission of the CCISD Special Services Department.

***All community events that are listed on the PRC calendar are for informational purposes. CCISD does not promote or endorse these events. For more information on an event, click the description for more information and links to those events.

*** PLEASE NOTE that individual student IEP questions or concerns should be addressed at the campus level first before calling the PRC as ARD committee decisions are campus based decisions.

I look forward to working with you this year.

Upcoming Events:

10/26/21  10am- 1pm;  Elementary Communication Helpers Workshop. Your student must be in an elementary classroom that utilizes the N2Y curriculum (this will be verified); visual schedules, task charts, etc., in order to attend this workshop. Space is limited due to social distancing guidelines and the nature of the workshop. You will be creating visual schedules and task lists for home use, that mimic what students use at school. All materials will be provided. Registration will end on 10/25/21 at noon. If you have questions about this course, please call.

* Please note that during the months of October and November I will be assisting on multiple campuses.  Email will be the best way to reach me during this time.  Please leave your phone number in your email and I will return the call from the campus I am at.
