On Monday, August 31, 2020, Clear Creek ISD will launch phase two of its Safely Reopen plan by welcoming students in Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 6th Grade, 9th Grade and groups of Special Education students in Brick & Mortar. Below is important information to make this transition easy for all families.
Back to School - CCISD Top 10
In this video, CCISD students give the Top 10 reminders for returning to school this year.
Family Reminders
  1. All parents/guardians are required to conduct a COVID-19 self-health assessment prior to sending their children to school every day. Click here for the health assessment.
  2. If a child has one or more symptoms, he/she must stay home.
  3. Parents are asked to self-report symptoms by logging into Skyward Family Access and complete the form on the home screen. This will notify the school that the child will be absent and give the school nurse information to follow-up.
  4. Make sure your child has a face covering that covers the nose and mouth. If you need an accommodation, please contact the school principal.
  5. Pack a water bottle since water fountains will not be accessible. Refillable water stations will be available.
  6. Consider packing a lunch for the first week.
  • If you can bring your child to and from school, please do so as social distancing on school buses will not be possible.
  • If riding a school bus, all riders shall wear a face covering that always covers their nose and mouth.
  • Extra face coverings and hand sanitizer will be available if students arrive at the bus stop without a face covering.
  • Parent or adult supervision is recommended at the bus stop to ensure students are social distancing and/or wearing a face covering.
  • Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students must have a parent/guardian present for drop-off. Bus drivers will not allow Pre-K or Kindergarten students off at the bus stop unless a parent or designated adult is present with appropriate yellow identification card. Families will receive identification cards from the school. It is recommended that you take a photograph of the card and keep the image on your phone. See flyer to the left.

Bus Card Information
Pre-K and Kindergarten students will be greeted at the doors by CCISD staff and brought to the classroom. Due to social distancing within the school buildings, parents will not be permitted to walk their children to class. Each campus will communicate specific first day information.
Due to social distancing for breakfast and lunch, no visitors will be allowed in the cafeteria. Parents may make an appointment with the campus to visit their child’s classroom off school hours. Please understand this is for everyone's safety and each teacher will communicate daily routines and celebrations with parents.
All students, staff and visitors are required to wear face coverings in schools, especially during arrival, dismissal and between bells. When a safe distance of 6 feet is maintained students and staff may remove their face covering. For students who cannot wear a face covering for developmental or medical reasons, parents may request an accommodation, such as a face shield. Such requests must be made in advance with the campus principal.
CCISD Dress Code applies to face coverings. Click here to read through the 2020-21 approved code of conduct. Students are subject to disciplinary action if repeatedly refusing to wear a face covering.
Classroom Protocol Video
Safely Reopen - Classroom Protocol
Schools have been working diligently to develop plans and protocols for elementary and secondary level classrooms. Each school and classroom will handle these new challenges differently. Watch this video to get a peak at what your child's class might look like this school year.
In the event of a positive case of COVID-19, Clear Creek ISD will institute health and safety practices aligned with CDC guidelines, such as isolating the affected individual, closing and deep cleaning the area/room, initiating close contact tracing and notifying such persons if needed, and communicating the case to all families and staff at that location. Please review CCISD's COVID-19 Standard Response Protocol. The current stage of the District and your specific campus will be listed at and your school website.

Safely Reopen - Cleaning Guidelines
Breakfast and lunch on your child's campus will look a little different this year with our social distancing guidelines.
  • Cafeteria and serving areas will be cleaned between uses.
  • Students may eat in various locations throughout the building to maximize social distancing.
  • All CCISD child nutrition staff will use face coverings/masks and gloves.
  • Implementing new card system to limit cash transactions.
Please refer to SchoolCafe for the menus, cost by each eligibility status, and to deposit funds into your student's account.
Safely Reopen - Cafeteria Guidelines
Watch as CCISD Director of Child Nutrition Fred Walker shows us how students will pick up their meals in the cafeteria.
CCISD uses the Emergency Standard Response Protocol (SRP) for school-
related emergencies, which is endorsed by the Texas School Safety Center for its nationally recognized terminology. New this year is that there has been a change to the term used for "Lockout," which will now be called "Secure." Click here to learn the terminology.
Download a PDF of the SRP and keep it handy at home in the unlikely event of a school emergency.
Be sure to download our CCISD Alerts App so you can stay informed. We recommend students do this as well. Parents can also include their student’s cell phone number through Skyward Family Access. Students can then opt-in to receive emergency text messages. This option is only for students in grades 6-12.
Clear Creek ISD has an anonymous tip reporting system. Click here to fill out the form. This feature is also available on the CCISD Alerts mobile app.
