More than 400 works of art were on display in the community room at the new CCISD Challenger Columbia Stadium on Thursday, March 24, 2016. Drawings, paintings and sculptures created by students in Kindergarten through 12th grade were the focus of attention.
Youth Art Month is an annual observance celebrated nationwide that focuses on the importance of youth art and the value of quality art education for all young people. The Crayon Water Color and Craft Institute initiated Youth Art Month in March of 1961. This celebration provides a unique opportunity to showcase the artistic talents and skills of young people in America and to acquaint the public with art programs in CCISD schools.
“Clear Creek ISD is proud to share the outstanding artistic achievements of our Visual Arts program students,” said Shara Appanaitis Coordinator of Visual & Performing Arts. Parents, art teachers, administrators and community members filled the room taking photos and celebrating the outstanding work done by CCISD art students.
