Gulf Coast Area Association of School Boards

Ann Hammond, Clear Creek ISD Board of Trustees member, has been re-elected as a Director of the Gulf Coast Area Association of School Boards (GCAASB) for the 2016-2017 school year.

“The experience that Ms. Hammond has gained on the local Board of Trustees will benefit all of the students, staffs and schools in the Gulf Coast Area Association as it is combined on the Executive Board with the experience of trustees from 14 other school districts,” said GCAASB Executive Secretary Jerry Smith. “That leadership will be meaningful.”

The GCAASB is a voluntary organization composed of more than 50 school boards in the greater Houston area to enhance the quality of education for public school children in the Texas Gulf Coast area by providing education and information to local school boards, and creating an opportunity for local school boards to impact legislation affecting the public schools.

Other local trustees serving as 2016-2017 GCAASB Directors represent Alief ISD, Alvin ISD, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, Deer Park ISD, Fort Bend ISD, Humble ISD, Kay ISD, La Porte ISD and Texas City ISD.
