Nasa PresentationLocal Aerospace Leaders Meet CCISD Engineers In Training.
Representatives from NASA (Paul Marshall) and Lockheed Martin (Linda Singleton, Joe LeBlanc and Kara Denny) made special presentations to Project Lead the Way students from all five high schools, their teachers and principals during last weekend's line up of home football games. The team presented plaques featuring flown patches of each school's mascot which were flown on Orion's first space flight last December. The Orion spacecraft, designed and built for NASA by the engineers of Lockheed Martin, will transport humans to deep space destinations beyond the moon, to asteroids and onward toward Mars. The Project Lead the Way program prepares students for post-secondary education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
