This is the image for the news article titled CCISD Challenger Columbia Stadium Dedication a “GO” for March 10The Dedication Ceremony for the Clear Creek ISD Challenger Columbia Stadium is still a “go” at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016. Gates open to the public at 5:00 p.m. at the new stadium which is located at 1955 W. NASA Blvd. in League City (for navigation purposes: 1955 W. NASA Blvd., Webster).

Please be aware, because of the potential for bad weather, CCISD will issue a public announcement on Thursday, March 10 at 1:00 p.m. if changes in the schedule are warranted. Due to construction along Interstate 45 and Bay Area Boulevard, the suggested route is to exit at FM 518 to the west, take a right onto Bay Area Boulevard, a right on Grissom Road and then veer left onto West Nasa Boulevard. The new stadium will be on the right.

Visitors can expect an all-out community celebration to include performances by the students who will now call Challenger Columbia Stadium ‘home’. The ceremony will also feature District leadership and Dr. Ellen Ochoa, Director of the NASA Johnson Space Center. CCISD is especially honored that several family members of both the Challenger and Columbia crews will be in attendance to witness the dedication of the facility named to forever celebrate the legacy of their loved ones.
