MONITORING COVID-19
Example
Clear Creek ISD has developed a COVID-19 Standard Response Protocol to outline the actions the school district will take to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in schools and support facilities. We thank our students and staff for the work they are doing to keep CCISD Healthy. Employees are required to take a daily self-health assessment and parents are asked to do the same for their students.
COVID-19 Notification
The CCISD Office of Communications will update the district website, your child's campus website and send out an email if there is a positive COVID-19 case at their school.
TAX RATE DECREASE
The Clear Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees have dramatically reduced tax rates by more than 13 cents over the past two years, with its latest move of a three-cent tax rate reduction. In a unanimous vote, the school board approved a combined tax rate three cents below the previous year during the September school board meeting. The 2020 adopted total tax rate of $1.2659 consists of a maintenance and operations tax rate of $0.9359 per $100 of taxable value and an interest and sinking tax rate of $0.33 per $100 of taxable value.
Officials also announced that the district received a rating of “A” for “Superior Achievement” under Texas’ School FIRST
financial accountability rating system.
HERO IN THE HALLWAY
September Hero in the Hallway - Clear Lake Buddies
The selfless work of Rev. Charles Anderson and his team at Clear Lake United Methodist Church was spotlighted during the recent School Board Meeting where they were recognized as our September Hero in the Hallway. The congregation partnered with Clear Lake City Elementary over the last four years to bring certain service projects and donation drives to life to help benefit the school community as a whole. The State Board of Education also named them as their 2020 Heroes for Children Award recipient for District 8.
