This is the image for the news article titled 2018-19 District Education Improvement Committee Volunteer FormThe District Education Improvement Committee (DEIC) serves in an advisory capacity to the Superintendent in the areas of planning, budgeting, curriculum, staffing patterns, professional learning and school organization. The DEIC is involved in reviewing and providing input on the District's objectives, strategies, and annual action plans. The Committee meets six times per year, after school hours, with the first meeting scheduled for October 1, 2018, at 4:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Education Support Center. The Committee serves exclusively in an advisory role. Both community and business representatives are needed to serve a two-year term. Community representatives must reside in the District. Business representatives may or may not reside in the District, and the business that is represented may or may not be located in the District. Membership will be selected through a random drawing of all applications received.
