Clear Creek ISD schools and support facilities. 


The Clear Creek Independent School District is home to 45 schools, 5,000 employees and more than 42,000 students. The district spans two counties and 13 municipalities. CCISD is not an open enrollment school district. You must reside within the district boundaries to attend school. Additionally, the school district operates under the neighborhood school model where students attend schools based on attendance boundaries. There are exceptions where families may apply for a transfer.

As you explore our district and its offerings, here are some district highlights:  

Each of our 27 elementary schools offer large and small group instruction, opportunities for students to demonstrate mastery in a multitude of ways from creating projects to taking formal assessments. All students will participate in 
art, music and physical education. Each elementary school is staffed with a full-time registered nurse, librarian, and counselor. Certified and highly qualified teachers and staff are available for students identified as Gifted and Talented or Special Needs. Each school offers after-school clubs and tutoring support. Technology is accessible in every classroom and in grades 4 and 5, each student is eligible to receive a tablet computer to use during the school day.   

The school district does offer early childhood for students who qualify under federal regulations as well as tuition-based pre-kindergarten. Click here to learn more about CCISD's Early Education. 

CCISD offers unique opportunities in the area of foreign language and Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) that are open to students across the district based on space availability.  

CCISD has ten intermediate schools for students in grades 6-8. Intermediate school offers traditional and advanced coursework with electives in the area of fine arts, athletics, foreign language and more. To view the vast amount of course offerings, read the Education Planning Guide

In grades 6-8, the school district offers two unique magnet programs. WAVE is a magnet program open to all students identified as gifted and talented. WAVE is offered at two locations, Westbrook Intermediate and League City Intermediate. Students interested in Science can apply to attend the Science Magnet at Seabrook Intermediate or Brookside Intermediate.

Students have many o
ptions to attain a high school diploma and even a college degree in CCISD. The school district has five comprehensive high schools and two alternative high schools. Students can also earn credit online, in the evenings and at a local college or university.

CCISD is home to the nationally-recognized Clear Horizons Early College High School where students simultaneously earn a high school diploma and college degree in four years.
