Board Items of Interest
The following leadership positions were announced:
Marshal Ponce was named principal at Clear Creek Intermediate.
Stephanie McBride was named Executive Director of Professional Learning.
Dr. Jonathan Maxwell was named Executive Director of Assessment and Evaluation.
Kathy Gouger will move to Brookwood Elementary as principal.
Christie Lawrence has been named Coordinator of Pre-Kindergarten/Elementary Special Education.
The board approved a resolution to pay hourly employees for lost time due to school closure caused by inclement weather on Monday, April 18, 2016.
The board approved a slight attendance boundary change along El Dorado Boulevard which makes El Dorado Boulevard the natural boundary between North Pointe Elementary, Brookwood Elementary, Clear Brook High School and Clear Lake High Schools. This change does not impact existing students.
CCISD has received $541,000 in grant funding to implement a full-day prekindergarten program. CCISD will host a full-day pre-kindergarten program at McWhirter Elementary for 2016-2017 for students who qualify under state and federal guidelines.
