The Clear Creek Independent School District will hold a school board and bond election on Saturday, May 6, 2017, and is encouraging community members to register to vote. The last day to register will be April 6, 2017.
You are eligible to register to vote if you are a United States citizen; a resident of the county where you submit the application; you are at least 18 years old on Election Day; you are not a convicted felon; and you have not been declared by a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be either totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.
Voter registration applications are available online at the Secretary of State website
or by following this link: www.votetexas.gov/register-to-vote. The online application is not complete until it is printed and mailed. If you are not sure if you are registered or if your voter registration information is up-to-date, you can also check your status on the Secretary of State website.
If a voter will be 65 years of age or older on Election Day, has a disability, or will be outside the county during early voting hours and on Election Day, the voter can apply to vote by mail. Those who qualify may request an Application for Mail Ballot by contacting CCISD Election Coordinator Melody Hermes at 281-284-0181 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Those who qualify may also locate the Application for Mail Ballot online at www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/reqabbm.shtml. The last day to apply for a Ballot by Mail is Thursday, April 25, 2017.
Early voting begins Monday, April 24-29 and then Monday, May 1-2. Election Day will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
