The 8th annual Walk on the Wild Side 5K Family Fun Walk, benefitting the Living Materials Center (LMC) at Seabrook Intermediate School. The LMC houses more than 60 different species of animals, many exotic and sub-exotic. The animals are made available to all teachers in CCISD to ‘check out’ of the LMC to enhance curriculum and enrich the classroom. The LMC also provides educational programs both in the center and on location at individual campuses and classrooms. The Walk on the Wild Side fundraiser, hosted by the Locke family, helps support the ongoing operation of the LMC, including habitats, LMC modifications and veterinary expenses.
