The Clear Creek Independent School District will be testing its Emergency Text Alert system on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. The emergency text alert system will be activated to ensure we have the right cell phone number(s) based on the information you provided at the beginning of the school year.  Standard text message rates do apply. The message will be generated from SchoolMessenger, the same communications system the District utilizes for emails and call outs. The district-wide message will read:

“Clear Creek Independent School District messages. Reply Y for aprx 3 msgs/mo. Txt HELP 4 info. Msg&data rates may apply. See schoolmessenger.com/tm”

If you would like to receive emergency text messages from CCISD, you must opt-in by replying “Y” or “Yes” or “Optin” or “Subscribe”. If you do not want to receive text messages, reply with Stop.

General Questions and Answers:

Q. I did not receive the emergency test text on November 2, 2016?

A. It may be that you did not provide a cell phone number for the cell phone field on your child’s student registration/verification form. It is becoming more common for people to use their mobile phone as the home phone number. Login into your Skyward Family Access Account and click on “Account” in the upper right hand corner. Make sure you entered your cell phone number in the correct field for cell phone. Text messages will not be sent to home numbers.

Q. How do I opt-out of receiving text messages?

A. Recipients not wishing to receive text messages to a particular number can simply text “Stop” to 67587at any time or opt-out online at www.schoolmessenger.com/txtmsg.

Q. From what number will these text messages originate?

A. The initial text on November 2nd and subsequent alerts will come from 67587. Please save this number and program it as CCISD so you can quickly recognize this number as the official source of our messages.

Q. I did not opt-in initially, but I have changed my mind. How do I receive text messages?

A. You can subscribe to text messages at any time by sending a text which says “Y” or “Yes” or “Optin” or “Subscribe” to 67587.
