Clear Creek ISD Bond Construction Update ~ November 2014

League City, Texas – Huge mounds of earth are beginning to appear at the site of the CCISD Challenger Columbia Stadium. Site utility installation continues with the installation of sanitary and storm sewer lines.  The main loop road around the stadium is nearing completion and portions of the home side parking lot are also complete.  Crews have finished erecting steel at the field house, the second floor slab has been poured and masonry work has begun.  Crews are also working on the retaining walls on the home side concourse and the installation of the retaining walls on the visitor side has begun. Construction of the new stadium should be complete in August 2015.

The majority of the demolition for the phase one area of the Clear Lake High School rebuild project is almost complete. Crews are ready to install the underground utilities. Students and staff are adjusting to new traffic and walkway patterns due to the rebuild. Temporary walkways and parking lots have been completed.  Additional lighting was installed to address low light levels between the temporary parking lot and Clear Lake 9th grade building.  Click here for more detailed information.

On Monday, November 17, 2014 The Clear Creek ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the Design Development plan for the East Agriculture Center. The design is based on the original West Ag Center and is being modified as needed to accommodate needs and site conditions. Construction is scheduled to begin in February of 2015 and be complete by August 31, 2015.

At Seabrook Intermediate School plans are in place to demolish sidewalks during the Thanksgiving break in order to get the site prepared for the new additions planned for the campus. Portables will be removed from the rear of campus. The project includes the addition of 7 general classrooms, three science rooms, a food lab, an art room and the expansion of the cafeteria to accommodate enrollment growth. The project is on schedule and should be complete by October 2015. Click here to view all Bond 2013 projects.
