Alvarez, principal of Clear Lake Intermediate, has been named the 2015
TCTA Administrator of the Year for Secondary Schools
The following students were recognized for their accomplishments at the Exxon Mobil Science and Engineering Fair:
Miriam Matney from Clear Lake High School, Ria Sur of Clear Lake High School,
Pyra of Clear Brook High School, and Justin DuPont of Clear Falls High
School. Kushal Kadakia, Jenny Schlauch and Kavita Selva had previously
qualified for the international fair. In the junior division, the
following students were recognized: Jay Hobstetter of Seabrook
Intermediate, Alexandra Boehning of League City Intermediate, Will
Leskowitz of Seabrook Intermediate, Carolyn Roberts of Seabrook
Intermediate, Katherine Koegal (Ko-gul) and Haley Schrader from League
Kelsey Maca, Cade Morrell, David Oliver and
Katelyn Oliver from Seabrook Intermediate created a video about digital
citizenship. The video earned first place at the Texas Business
Professional of America’s Association conference.
Scott, CCISD Board of Trustee, was recognized for her nine years of
service on the board. Ms. Scott is not seeking re-election.

board approved the following staffing requests: Melissa Sanchez was
named coordinator of Bilingual Programming and Spanish Language Arts and
Suzanne Ferrell was named director of Library and Media Services

board approved a guaranteed maximum price of $31,488,493 for the Clear
Creek High School bond construction project which includes the facility
space for the district’s new dentistry program, improvements to the
auditorium, and other safety-related items.
